Terrence Malick has had THE TREE OF LIFE done since 2009 but the film has long been delayed, but now it is finally getting it's release, and to prove that it is coming. The first images from the film were released today.
There is a lot of buzz about the film. Several sources have claimed that Malick is doing something completely radical and amazing with the film, but any real plot details have been kept secret. The only thing really known about the film is that it is about a man (Penn) remembering his childhood in the 50's with his father (Pitt) and how he lost his childhood innocence becoming "a lost soul in the modern world".
THE TREE OF LIFE comes to theaters on May 27th, 2011, and the first trailer for the film will be attached to Darren Aronofsky's BLACK SWAN which comes to theaters this week.
